New Five Star Fishing Operation Launches in Tropical North Queensland‏

Fishing adventures in the Far North have reached a new benchmark following the launch this week of Australia's new world-class, bespoke sports fishing operation. From its base in Port Douglas, Far North Sports Fishing (FNSF) will run day and live-aboard charters from its luxuriously appointed 68 foot mothership, Blue Martini.

Comprising three levels and accommodation for up to eight discerning guests and five crew, Blue Martini provides an all-inclusive five-star fishing experience complete with an on-board gourmet chef, preparing cuisine to a one-hat standard.

The mothership is accompanied by three, 20-foot, custom-built, centre-console sports fishing boats. Each of the centre-consoles, built to Australian survey standards by Hooker Boats in Cairns, will be skippered by its own private FNSF guide to ensure superior angling in Far Northern waters.

After an exhaustive search for a vessel to meet their needs, Far North Sports Fishing owners, Tony Fyfe and Craig Parsell purchased the 68 foot Blue Martini from Port Douglas identity and businessman, John Morris. Since then, an investment exceeding one million dollars and significant refit undertaken by CJH Yachts in Cairns, has gone into meeting its owners exacting standards to ensure guests experience the ultimate in sea faring comfort.

Mr Fyfe and Mr Parsell have put Blue Martini, the centre-consoles and crew through their paces over the last few weeks and are open for business from December 1st. They are anticipating the operation will appeal to anglers and corporate groups who are keen to chase a variety of northern water sports fish including Barramundi, Giant Trevalley and Black Marlin.

According to Mr Fyfe, they developed the operation to fill a gap in the market for high end, bespoke fishing adventures. Far North Sports Fishing is a departure from your standard fishing charter operation. Our intention is to provide our clients with a complete five star fishing experience including haute cuisine, premium wines, top end tackle and world class guides.
