The International Travel and Hospitality (ITHS) show has been a huge success and the organizers are contemplating to make it a normal annual event in Oman considering the growing tourism market in the Sultanate and incredible response from various stakeholders across the world.
Trade fairsproject manager Mitsu Ruparel said “We are doing the ITHS in Oman because it is a growing market and will evolve as a major tourist destination in the coming years. Oman is the only Arab country to be ranked amongst the top 20 tourist destinations in the world by the national geographic and we want to attract tourists from all over the world to Oman. The ITHS will be an annual event in Oman.”
Almost 25 companies representing hotels and travel industries, four embassies and three tourism boards of other countries took part in the show, which gained much interest among local tourism sector. According to the officials, the ITHS developed as a platform where global travel, tourism, and hospitality industry converged to exhibit products and services within these key budding sectors.
Many local and international are firms are very much interested to be in Oman to promote inbound, domestic, and outbound tourismOman has been undergoing a period of obvious progress in the tourism and hospitality segment and is expected to witness more growth and investment under Vision 2020. With the construction of new international airport gaining momentum, Oman will fulfill its tourism potential.
