MCE 2014 Set to Highlight the MICE Prospects of Central and Eastern Europe

Europe Congress’ MCE Central & Eastern Europe, the exclusive platform which focuses on promoting the region as a destination for MICE, has partnered with TAROM, the oldest and largest currently operating airline in Romania. The boutique event, which is set to take place in Bucharest, Romania at the Radisson Blu Hotel, will showcase the highest quality of solution providers from the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region to event planners from around the globe.

CEE, which geographically covers around half the continent, is still largely undiscovered within the MICE industry. The region offers an eclectic mix of UNESCO cultural heritage sites and architecture, excellent travel connectivity as well as a wide range of options of modern hotels, conference venues and other facilities.

MCE Central & Eastern Europe 2014 travel partner TAROM, Romanian Air Transport was established in 1954 and developed together with the Romanian aviation. TAROM performs its activity under the Ministry of Transportation and has been a member of SkyTeam Alliance as of June 25th, 2010. The company operates on more than 50 own destinations as well as destinations operated by its code share partners.The Romanian flag carrier owns a fleet consisting of 24 aircraft, and has been a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since 1993 and of the Association of European Airlines (AEA) since 2000.

With only 2 months to go, the qualification and registration process is almost complete and most of the suppliers are already on board. The list of suppliers provides representation of the entire region and includes the top hotel chains, boutique hotels, local DMCs, convention bureaus and tour operators.
