TTGmice clinched its third PATA Gold Award, affirming its claim as Asia-Pacific’s leading meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibition resource.
The 2013 PATA Gold Award’s Travel Journalism – Business Article Award was awarded to TTGmice for its July 2012 cover story, A Brighter Shade of Green. Written by group editor Karen Yue, the article studies the Asia-Pacific MICE industry’s reception of environmentally friendly facilities and practices, spotlighting notable green venues including the Cairns Convention Centre and the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
“We are thrilled to have won this award,” said Yue. “More importantly, I hope this will inspire meeting planners to push for sustainability, and to pay greater attention to the efforts venues put into green facilities and practices”.
TTGmice had been previously awarded the PATA Gold Award in 2011 and 2009 for its November 2010 cover story Rebuilding the team and September 2008 cover story DMCs defined: The real knights of creativity” respectively.
The 2013 PATA Gold Awards received 165 entries from 60 PATA and non-PATA organisations worldwide, and will present 26 Grand and Gold Awards to outstanding entries in four categories: Marketing, Education and Training, Environment, and Heritage and Culture. This will be the 18th year the PATA Gold Awards has been recognising the achievements of travel industry organisations and individuals.
