13th ANNUAL GOLD RUSH DAYS, August 31-September 3, Sacramento
Experience a step back in time as living history characters re-enact the Gold Rush era in Old Sacramento. DRAFT HORSE CLASSIC, September 20-23, Grass Valley
Majestic Draft horse performances, breath-taking competitions and the thrill of standing next to 18 hand Draft Horse is the experience at the Annual Draft Horse Classic and Harvest Fair. ORIGINAL BIG CITY ROD RUN, September 21-22, Sierra City
Hot rods, classic and muscle cars fill the streets of this quaint alpine town fora celebration of "Hot Rods and Lost Youth".  The rod-o-rama explores the Tahoe National Forest and cruises up Historic Highway 49, complete with live bands, vendors and loads of small town hospitality.  www.highwaymennorcal.com
