The Crave Sydney International Food Festival program hits
the streets on Saturday 18 August in the Saturday edition of the Sydney Morning
Herald.
The Crave Festival runs from 1-31 October 2012.
Barbecue Madness, featuring a fresh produce extravaganza along with a line-up of top Sydney and International chefs, will kick off this year’s festival at the Sydney Growers’ Market.
This year’s festival features almost 500 great foodie events across Sydney and NSW regions as well as innovative events such as the pop-up Diner en Blanc where 1200 white-clad diners and white tables are transported to a secret location for a dinner they’ll never forget.
Returning for the second time, the wonderful sunrise Breakfast On Bondi will begin the day with a symphony orchestra performance and Opera Australia soprano Lorina Gore. Bill Granger will be one of many food personalities greeting guests. The event is free and also includes a limited VIP area that includes a bill’s breakfast.
Highlights of the program include The Noodle Box at Night Noodle Markets; panel discussion Talks and Thoughts at the World Chef Showcase with local and international journalists, chefs, writers and sommeliers; the Green Square Food Festival and Barbecue; the Taste 101 Masterclass; World Dinners and Community Festivals along with regular events such as Let’s Do Lunch and Hats Off Dinners.
