An Evening with Colin Hay at Cairns Festival 2012

Cairns Festival will kick off its 2012 season with a multi-dimensional program spanning music, art, dance, culture, comedy and entertainment in a free and ticketed program that rolls out from Friday 17 August until Sunday, 2 September

One of the highlights of this years Cairns Festival is An Evening with Colin Hay, at the Tanks Arts Centre on  Friday, 17 August, 2012.

Colin Hay - front man and principle songwriter for 1980’s hit machine Men at Work, plays at Tanks Arts Centre as a part of Cairns Festival 2012.

Hay is responsible for one of the most identifiable sounds in pop music and his international smash hit Down Under became an unofficial national anthem for Australia. Other Men at Work hits include Who Can It Be Now and Overkill. Hay has released a new album, which he feels is the best he’s ever done. For this Cairns Festival show at Tanks, Colin will perform songs from his new album, in a night of side-splitting random comedy, as well as selections from his solo albums and fan favourites from the past.

Location: Tank 5, Tanks Arts Centre, Cairns, Australia
Cost: $50/$45 (conc) (MA 15+)   Doors/Bar: 6.30pm   Support Act: 7.15pm
