Luxperience to Offer Brand New High Tech "Poken" Networking System

Luxperience, the new exclusive travel industry event focused on the luxury experiential travel industry has announced a partnership with Poken, a new state-of-the-art technology that allows for wireless and paperless social interaction at events.

Luxperience community will be given slick black poken devices to store and exchange details, e-brochures and information with new contacts

Poken is a revolutionary new system that allows users to receive all information at an exhibition without the hassle of collecting business cards, brochures and flyers. Instead, each participant gets a Poken that is pre-loaded with their business information, as well as their contact and social networking details.

Participants at an event can easily obtain exhibitor information by touching their Poken to the pokenTAG, an electronic "sticker" that stores digital documents and multimedia files, saving them from having to carry brochures around.

Participants can also exchange information with people they meet by simply touching their Pokens together which then triggers an exchange of data between the two devices - the Pokens also glow green during the exchange.

"This is a brand new cutting edge technology which will totally transform the way we behave at trade shows, and we are thrilled to be one of the first travel industry events in the region to use it in our inaugural Luxperience in September," said Rosemarie Sama, CEO and Co-Founder of the event.

"Luxperience is all about building a community of the world's top experiential travel buyers and suppliers and these slick black devices will really help to facilitate this social interaction and networking in a novel and "experiential" way."

"I'm very excited about being invited to showcase Poken at Luxperience, and feel that it will bring huge benefits to all of those attending, making networking and the exchange of information effective, fun and easy," said Sue Whittaker from Askew Vision, the suppliers of the Poken technology.

The Poken uses short-range RFID technology to enable transfers, and stores up to 300 contacts at a time. Once it nears capacity, it warns the owner, who then downloads the information into the pokenHUB by simply plugging the device into the USB port. From the hub, it's very easy to view and sort through your contacts without manual data entry. It also comes with a post-event tracking system that monitors the number of times people access the materials.

The technology, by doing away with the need for so much "wasted" heavy brochures which are often collected and then discarded at these kind of events, is also hailed for its "green" credentials.

Luxperience is an exclusive high-end experiential travel trade event in the Australasia and Pacific region that connects the world's most exclusive travel providers.

The three-day business exchange from 10-12 September is a forum for ideas and collaboration dedicated to matching the needs of high end experiential travel buyers with inspiring suppliers.

It also lays the foundation for a 'Luxperience Community' connecting the crème de la crème of experiential travel experience providers worldwide through a "LuxConnect" online platform and ongoing calendar of events and networking opportunities.
