What’s on in Regional NSW

Treat the kids to an egg-cellent adventure with one of the many Easter eggs hunts taking place in regional NSW. The Illawarra Fly will host two Easter egg hunts in the Visitor Information Centre on Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday while Jamberoo Action Park, will swing open its gates early at 9:00am on Easter Sunday to maximise the fun of their giant egg hunt. Kids aged 4-12 can fossick the grounds to dig up thousands of Darrel Lea Easter Eggs hidden around the Park.
Get active at this year’s Mudgee Bike Muster. Held over the Easter long weekend, this family-friendly event incorporates camping, organised bike rides and the delicious food and wine for which this region is renowned. Collect local produce at the markets with “This Little Rider went to Market” or unveil the past with the “Gone to Gulgong” ride, a must for history buffs.
Teens can learn about the art of film-making these holidays during a three day workshop at Trainworks in Thirlmere. Let’s Make A Movie recreates the magic of silent film with teens creating the soundtrack and performing to family and friends.

Archery, abseiling, canoeing, orienteering, kayaking, challenge ropes course, swimming, sailing and rock climbing are all on this action packed agenda.
Venture into the deep outback with a tag along 4WD tour in Sturt National Park. With the help of Discovery Rangers, follow in the footsteps of explorer, Captain Charles Sturt and re-enact their search for an inland sea from Tibooburra to Depot Glen and Mount Poole.
