Two of Asia’s most popular celebrities have been enlisted to help attract more Chinese travellers to Australia.
Destination NSW is working in partnership with Tourism Australia on a drama series called Discover Your Australia. Tourism Victoria and Tourism Tasmania are also partners in the series which is being filmed in all three States.
The series features Show Lo and Rainie Yang, Taiwanese pop singers and TV stars who have a combined online following of more than 25 million fans. Discover Your Australia will be broadcast to up to 10 million viewers across Greater China.

Filming is currently taking place in Sydney and will feature Sydney Harbour, Bondi Beach, shopping at Queen Victoria Building and dining around Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay. The Four Seasons Hotel is providing accommodation for the production.
The series will be broadcast in April on one of China’s largest distribution platforms Tudou.com as well as Tourism Australia’s You Tube channel. Short destination videos will be broadcast alongside five drama episodes. A range of promotional activities have been planned to support the visit.
