Singita Elela opens for bookings

My first experience of the Okavango Delta was decades ago with my family. I remember one evening, as we waded along a waterway on a mokoro, the sun was setting on one side of us, and a bright full moon was rising on the other. For a moment, everything felt perfectly aligned.

The Delta is one of those rare places that inspires an endless sense of possibility, perhaps because it’s so unique and full of life.

As a brand built on a shared love and respect for nature and Africa, passed down through generations, deeply ingrained in all of us, Singita has long held the intention to create something meaningful here with the people of Botswana.

For years, we waited for the right opportunity to present itself, and recently, it did, in the form of concession NG 26 – a vast wilderness that perfectly captures the region’s inexplicable magic, and the home of Elela.

The next chapter of our story is about to begin, and intentions are vital. Ours, as always, are to honour the landscape, biodiversity, culture, and people of Botswana – working alongside local partners and communities to care for the Delta ecosystem in ways that are meaningful, equitable, and rooted in respect, and to give depth to the experiences we offer.

Elela will welcome guests from 11 December 2026. I’m so excited to share more about our partnerships, nature initiatives, and the design and guest experiences we have planned over the coming months, but in the meantime, you can find out more here or connect with our PR Manager for more information. For bookings email enquiries@singita.com

For now, thank you for journeying with us as Elela comes to life. Until next time, Jo
