Producers John Frost, Colin Ingram, and the creators of the original film trilogy, Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, have confirmed the thrilling news, and a waitlist for tickets is now open for eager Australian fans. After a highly successful run in the West End, where it won the Olivier Award for Best New Musical, and its Broadway debut, this iconic musical is set to bring the beloved time-traveling adventure to Australian audiences in spectacular fashion.

Based on the Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment film, the musical has a book by Bob Gale, with music and lyrics by the Emmy and Grammy Award-winning Alan Silvestri and six-time Grammy Award-winning Glen Ballard. Fans of the classic film will also recognize beloved songs like The Power of Love and Johnny B. Goode, ensuring a nostalgic and electrifying experience. With Tony Award-winning direction by John Rando and a world-class design team, including Tim Hatley (set and costume design), Tim Lutkin and Hugh Vanstone (lighting), and Finn Ross (video), this stage adaptation promises to be an unforgettable theatrical journey.

Colin Ingram, worldwide producer, emphasized the significance of the musical's global success, from its Olivier Award win to its Broadway run. The Australian premiere is expected to bring the high-energy, time-bending story of Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett Brown to life in an entirely new way, delighting audiences of all ages. The musical follows the plot of the first film, where the rock ‘n’ roll teen Marty travels back to 1955 and must ensure his parents fall in love to preserve his future existence.
