Carnival Cruise Line's two-storey spider 'Fangelica' is crawling into Sydney Zoo's new Halloween Spooktacular!

‘Fangelica,’ Carnival Cruise Line’s resident redback, is preparing to crawl ashore to call Sydney Zoo home during the Halloween Spooktacular weekend taking place from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th October.

Watching over the zoo’s Kidzone will be Fangelica, the colossal queen of the creepy crawlies at 5m high and nearly 10m wide. Watch as her eyes and fangs light up providing a picture-perfect opportunity for the most fang-tastic Halloween snapshot.

Families can immerse themselves in the Halloween spirit with a weekend packed full of exciting activities, eerie encounters, and spine-tingling surprises, including:

Trick--Treat Traoril

Explore the zoo and collect treats along the way. Be on the lookout for spooky friends who might just make Halloween even more thrilling.

Monster Mash Disco

Dance the night away at the Monster Mash Disco where goblins, werewolves and mummies invite families to shake their bones and dance the night away.

Reptile & Nocturnal Spook House

For those feeling brave, the largest Reptile & Nocturnal House in the world has been transformed into a spine-tingling Spooky House. Come face-to-face with nocturnal creatures and reptiles that lurk in the shadows. Let’s hope they don’t escape!

Announced as a Major Partner of Sydney Zoo earlier this year, The Halloween Spooktacular is the latest family-friendly event that fun-loving brands Carnival Cruise Line and Sydney Zoo have collaborated on. Carnival Cruise Line has also brought ‘Glowy Golf’ to GLOW at Sydney Zoo for the last two years, with an incredible Carnival-inspired four-hole golf course featuring nods to Dr Seuss at Sea and Green Lighting waterslide.

This year, the Halloween FUN isn’t just limited to land. Guests can take to the high seas with Carnival’s Frightfully FUN Halloween sailings throughout the month of October. In addition to traditional activities like costume contests and themed dance parties, guests can also meet Patch the Pumpkin Pirate®, spooky dive-in movies on the big screen, compete in pumpkin-carving contests, and more.
