The Isle of Skye is connected to Scotland's northwest coast by bridge, and is known for its rugged landscapes, picturesque fishing villages and medieval castles.
The largest island in the Inner Hebrides archipelago, it has a coastline of peninsulas and narrow lochs, radiating out from a mountainous interior.
The luxury 4-star Bracken Hide has been designed to ‘mimic a blade that appears to have been uprooted from the landscape’.
The Hub, the focal point of the hotel will house the restaurant, whisky bar and lounge and there will be 45 en suite cabins, set in clusters across the 53-acre site.
Next to the hub is a pair of Nordic saunas with a plunge pool and pond for wild swimming and views of the Cuillin hills or the Isle of Raasay.
The Bracken Hide has been created by Miranda and Charlie Garton-Jones, who also have the Cowshed Boutique Bunkhouse, also on Skye.
Dogs are welcome at the Bracken Hide. For guests looking to explore more of the island, the hotel has partnered with Skye Adventure, who will offer adventures from scaling the iconic Cuillin to kayaking along the fractured coastline.
The hotel is within walking distance of Portree, the island’s main town with a collection of restaurants and shops, and next door to the hotel is Target Sports, who offer axe throwing and archery.
