First Airport hotel by Hoshino Resorts to open on March 20th, 2023

OMO Kansai Airport by Hoshino Resorts
Hoshino Resorts’ first airport hotel, OMO Kansai Airport by Hoshino Resorts, will open on March 20th, 2023. The hotel is a one-minute walk from Rinku Town Station, which is one stop away from Kansai Airport. With its concept of a "fun time close to the sky," the hotel promises not only the conveniences of an airport hotel but also a time well spent both before and after air travel.

A survey conducted independently by OMO* revealed that guests look especially at price, accessibility, and cleanliness when choosing a hotel near an airport, and the majority find it as just a place to sleep. On the other hand, the results also showed that guests spend a surprisingly long time in the hotel. For this reason, we decided to go beyond the conventional expectations of an airport hotel and ensure that guests can make the most of their time during their trip from beginning to end, expressed in the concept of "fun time close to the sky." Located "close to the sky" - a one-minute walk from Rinku Town Station, one stop from Kansai Airport Station - the hotel offers services that turn the time waiting for a flight into an exciting "fun time."

"Express Full-buffet" in a high-rise restaurant overlooking the sky and sea

Located on the 21st floor, the restaurant offers an excellent view of the sky and the sea. Its "Express Full-buffet" offers a unique dining style that allows diners with little time to enjoy a hassle-free meal in the quality expected of a hotel buffet. The buffet lets guests choose their food first and then move to their seats, creating an efficient flow of services, and also offering take-out. The top recommendation for dinner is the okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancakes) served in the live kitchen. Guests can choose between four types of okonomiyaki: okonomiyaki with Kushikatsu (deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables) on top, "Kashiminyaki" style topped with grilled chicken and ground meat, "Doteyaki" style with stewed beef tendon and konnyaku, or "Takoyaki" style with octopus, green seaweed and dried bonito flake topping. A classic Osaka menu served with a fun twist. Breakfast includes chocolate bananas and eggs Benedict in the selection, and the pancakes are especially recommended.

Exciting, fun-filled OMO Base (Traveler's Fun Lounge)

OMO Base is your home base when staying in town. The hotel provides neighborhood maps and workspaces, so guests can spend their time planning their trip or taking a break. The connecting walkway between the train station and the hotel on the second floor is decorated in the style of airplane engines and seats, a design that evokes excitement at the beginning of a journey. At the front desk, guests are greeted by an airplane sculpture in an original OMO design, as well as check-in and check-out lines that ensure a smooth procedure. The first floor, where guests can also find the parking lot and airport shuttle bus stop, features airplane windows and a lounge with an interior inspired by airplane seats for guests to plan their trip, work, or spend their time as they like.

Refreshing between trips at the public bath

The large bath area has an indoor bath and a semi-open-air bath. The indoor bath zone with a sauna and a water bath is perfect for refreshing between trips. Images of Japan's four seasons and culture are projected on the walls of the semi-open-air bath. Take a slow soak to enjoy a soothing and relaxing "fun time."

Perfect room types for different purposes of trips

There are a total of 700 guest rooms categorized into eight room types. Queen rooms for solo travelers and business travelers looking for a relaxing stay, Japanese/Western-style rooms to stay in as a family, dog-friendly rooms for guests traveling with their dogs, and other room types suited to the purpose of the trip and the number of travelers available.

"Go-KINJO," a service to enjoy all the town has to offer

"Go-KINJO" is an OMO-branded service that helps guests get to know and become part of the town within walking distance of the hotel by exploring and discovering the area. A "Go-KINJO Map (Local guide map)" that collects and presents information on the neighborhood not included in guidebooks, as well as other content that introduces the attractions in the surrounding area will be available. There are many fun locations around OMO Kansai Airport by Hoshino Resorts, including of course Kansai International Airport, Rinku Park, and other places. More information will be available in March 2023.
