On 10th August 2022, in Ha Noi, Singer-musician Joseph Kwon, at the Korean Cultural Centre in Ha Noi organised a press conference to launch 2 MV “Waiting for you, 5,000 years” and “Butterfly flakes”. Attending the event were Mr. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) and Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
Speaking at the event, VNAT’s Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu expressed his gratitude towards singer-musician Joseph Kwon's deep love for Vietnam. This is a meaningful event to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea. By music, singer Joseph Kwon introduces to international friends shimmering images of Vietnam, and at the same time tightening Vietnam - Korea cultural and tourism cooperation to further development. Recently, to support the Korean singer with the adoration for Vietnam, VNAT gave suggestions and advice on locations to shoot the MV, contacted and connected with provinces and tourist areas to provide support for the filming process of singer Joseph Kwon.
Singer-musician Joseph Kwon shared his thoughts, his love for Vietnam comes naturally. At a young age, he always loves to learn and explore Vietnamese culture and seize every opportunity to come to Vietnam to live and work. He has spent most of the time composing and performing songs that praising the friendship between Vietnam and Korea, songs about the love of Vietnam and Vietnamese cuisine, namely: Go Vietnam Go Go (2020); You are in my heart (in Vietnamese, Korean and English versions); Cha Ca or Peace - a song about Vietnamese traditional dish; Remember - a song to mark the 30th anniversary of Vietnam and Korea relations, etc.
Particularly, a song called “Vietnam”, composed by Joseph Kwon in 2021 became a prominent topic with more than 50 broadcasts on television stations from central to local and covered in domestic media.
Singer Joseph Kwon said: “I hope that my songs and music videos travelling through 19 provinces in Vietnam will draw the attention of Korean and worldwide friends and help them to get to know how beautiful and attractive Vietnam is. Then motivate them to visit Vietnam and experience the culture and warm heart of the people here!”
The two MVs “Waiting for you, 5,000 years” and “Butterfly flakes” was filmed from 17th May to 12th July 2022 at famous destinations of Vietnam such as Cuc Phuong National Park, Trang An, Tam Chuc, Ba Be Lake, Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne, Sa Pa, Da Nang, Hoi An Ancient Town…
Moreover, these two MVs will be NFTized (Non-fungible tokens) and released on Kitego platform – by using blockchain technology to authorise information transparent, origin, contribute to protect copyright/ownership rights of authors/owners, to promote widely for the public who love and want to own art assets in the world.
