Formal Gardens and 2,000 acres of landscaped Parkland at Blenheim Palace

The 18th century baroque Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, has formal Gardens and 2,000 acres of Capability Brown landscaped Parkland. 

Home to the Dukes of Marlborough since 1705, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

It houses portraits, furniture, sculpture and tapestries that comprise one of the most important and extensive collections in Europe. 

Created over the centuries for the Dukes of Marlborough the Palace’s Formal Gardens are set around the Palace. 

They include the Water Terraces, the Duke's Private Italian Garden, the Secret Garden and the Rose Garden. 

There’s the chance to walk in the in the Memorial Garden, which has the Temple of Diana, where Churchill he proposed to his future wife, Clementine. 

The estate also offers of walks ranging in length from under a mile to nearly five miles and which take in the Grand Bridge, the lake and the Queen Pool.

Guests can also explore the Butterfly House and Marlborough Maze.
