Commemorate Anzac Day on a special four-night Captain Cook Cruises Anzac Day Cruise. Departing Monday 22 April 2019 onboard Paddlewheeler, PS Murray Princess, the Anzac Day cruise will honour our Anzacs and celebrate their amazing legacy.

Pay tribute to our Anzacs at a special dawn service on 25 April, followed by a traditional Gun Fire Breakfast and game of Two-Up. Hear some great Aussie Anzac tales, get a group together and test everyone’s Anzac knowledge with a fun Anzac trivia quiz and enjoy a delicious Captain’s Anzac Day Buffet lunch.

In addition to celebrating Anzac Day explore the Murray River and uncover its history and enchanting appeal.

Visit historic Swan Reach and discover the fascinating town on a guided walking tour before touring Swan Reach Museum (gold coin donation).

Experience the excitement of cruising through Lock 1 at Blanchetown and enjoy a cellar door tasting and tour of the vineyard at Burk Salter Boutique Winery.

Learn about Aboriginal history at the incredible Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve - one of Australia’s most significant archaeological sites and take part in a guided boardwalk tour of ancient rock carvings. Fall in love with the animals during a visit to a Native Wildlife Shelter and experience a fun and very Australian Woolshed Shearing Show.

Optional tours include an enjoyable Nocturnal Tour. After an Aussie-style campfire barbecue dinner and bush dance on the river bank, spend a couple of hours in a comfortable purpose-built cart spotting kangaroos, wombats, foxes, bats and owls. The Nocturnal Tour is $16 per person. For a once in a lifetime experience enjoy a Bush Tucker Breakfast on the shores of the Murray River at Big Bend. Bush Tucker Breakfast is only $35 per person.

Onboard take-in the breathtaking Murray River scenery from the open top deck. Relax in comfort in the paddlewheel lounge and watch the paddlewheel turn while admiring the rivers natural beauty including the magnificent towering limestone cliffs and riverbanks lined with mallee scrub, willows and red gum forests.

Be treated to a fine selection of food and wine in the ship’s elegant dining room and bar. Start each morning with a hearty hot buffet breakfast and indulge in a two-course or buffet lunch each day. As night falls watch the sun set and enjoy a delicious cocktail before savouring a three-course meal, buffet dinner and even an Aussie-style campfire barbecue dinner and bush dance on the river bank.

An optional Barossa Wine and Heritage Tour is available at the conclusion of the 4 four night Anzac Day Cruise and returns to Adelaide at 5.30pm. The tour is $161 per person and explores the famous Barossa wine region and includes a two-course gourmet feast at Lambert Estate. Enjoy wine tasting at Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre, Lambert Estate and Chateau Barossa and try new produce at Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop.

The four-night “Anzac Day” Cruise departs Mannum at 4.30pm on Monday 22 April 2019 and Early Booking Saver fares start from $1233 per person twin share.

Cruise Fares include accommodation, all meals, guided nature walks, eco-excursions, Anzac Day activities, onboard presentations, onboard WiFi, the Captain’s Dinner, use of ship’s facilities including a sun deck, bar, two lounges, restaurant and a mini gymnasium.

Complimentary scenic coach transfers from Adelaide, or secure car-parking in and Mannum post cruise coach transfers to Adelaide CBD or Adelaide Airport, are also included.

Private car transfers for up to four people are also available from and to Adelaide CBD to Mannum and return to Adelaide Airport for $150 per person each way, based on two people travelling.
