The Chinese New Year Gala Night at Sydney Town Hall will combine Sichuan Puppet Show with traditional northern style dance of Xi’an International University Art Troupe.
Yuhualong Art Troupe of Xi’an International University was founded in 2000 and consists of nine subordinate branches: the folk dancing group, the hip-hop dancing group, the chorus group, the instrument group, the theatre group, the reciting group, the etiquette team, the hosting team and the stage design section. With a total of 752 undergraduate performers, Yuhualong Art Troupe has put on stage more than a hundred performances in various forms like International Culture and Art Festivals, drama tours, folk music festivals, instrument performances and New Year’s Concerts, etc. Its about 150 excellent performances have attracted more than ten thousand audiences in 14 years. The art troupe once made its visit to America, Japan and Malaysia, etc. and was well-received by demonstrating the artistic glamour of modern Chinese youth. The Chinese New Year Gala Night will feature dance, drums and opera as the dancers tell the story of Age Impression of The Silk Road—Chang’an Dancing.
