Langham Hotels and Resorts Makes Debut Appearance at AIME 2015

Underscoring the importance of MICE customers to their luxury brand, Langham Hotels and Resorts is participating for the first time as a collective group in the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) from 24 to 25 February.

Positioned at the top luxury tier within Langham Hospitality Group, Langham Hotels and Resorts offers two different styles of luxury to its guests: The Langham offers classic grandeur and serenity while Langham Place delivers understated contemporary elegance. However, both personas retain an identical commitment, which is to deliver genuine service beyond expectations that befits its global reputation in the industry.

The Langham, Chicago

Housed in the former IBM building by Mies van der Rohe, The Langham, Chicago has received many well-deserved accolades since it first welcomed its guests on July 2013. The landmark hotel was recently voted the number one hotel in the USA by TripAdvisor's Traveler's Choice Awards 2015. It was also voted the top hotel in Chicago and the number three hotel in USA by Conde Nast Traveler in 2014. Readers of Travel+Leisure also awarded The Langham, Chicago the number one city hotel in Continental USA and the number six hotel in the world in 2014.

The hotel's Chuan Spa was also awarded a coveted Five-Star rating in the Forbes Travel Guide 2015.

The Langham, Hong Kong

The completion of the multi-million dollar renovation repositions The Langham, Hong Kong at the top end of Hong Kong's leading luxury hotels. The renovation extended to 230 rooms and two Signature Suites - the Penthouse Suite and the Director Suite, both feature distinctive living spaces with playful character pieces and lofty views of Canton Road in vibrant Tsim Sha Tsui. The renovation also included a makeover of the hotel's lounge, the Palm Court where Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood is served and an addition of a new bar, Artesian, taking its namesake from the world's best bar (voted by Drinks International 2012, 2013 and 2014) from The Langham, London.

Forbes Travel Guide 2015 recently unveiled its annual Star Rating list, naming The Langham, Hong Kong as a new Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel. Acknowledged as one of the top 115 hotels in the world, The Langham, Hong Kong is now one of only eight properties in Hong Kong to earn such a highly recognised award in the hospitality industry.

The first grand, luxury hotel when it first opened in 1865, The Langham, London recently announced a major multi-million dollar investment with three new areas due to launch in time for the hotel's 150th anniversary in 2015: the Regent Wing, The Langham Club Lounge and the Sterling Suite, slated to be London's top suite with up to six bedrooms bedrooms featuring contemporary design with bespoke furnishings commissioned from British craftsmen. A personal butler service will discretely anticipate every aspect of the guests stay while innovative touches such as a private media lounge and special security features will ensure the suite offers 'The New Hallmark for Refined Living'.

The Langham, Sydney recently re-opened after a grand transformation to become Sydney's most exclusive harbourside address. Langham Place, Guangzhou

Langham Place, Guangzhou was awarded the Best MICE Hotel in China at the 2014 Business Traveller China Awards in Shanghai. Voted by over 6,000 China's frequent travellers and readers of the publication, Langham Place, Guangzhou is recognized as the top choice for meetings, incentives, conventions and events in China's third largest city.

Strategically located in the new central business district on Pazhou Island at the southeastern part of the city, the 500-room hotel is a mere two-minute stroll from the China Import and Export Fair Complex, home to the renowned annual Canton Fair, the largest trade fair in the world. Befitting its events-centric location, Langham Place, Guangzhou boasts the largest ballroom in the city with a combined meeting and event space of nearly 5,000 square metres (53,819 square feet).

Langham Place New York, Fifth Avenue

By the end of 2015, the event space at Langham Place, New York will be renovated to reflect the overall hotel experience. Modern and sophisticated, the décor will be artistically inspired and reflective of the vibrant city around it. Flexible floor plans and expansive windows will allow for a wide variety of meeting and event options, for small intimate affairs, corporate functions and lavish parties.

The event space at Langham Place will feature the best technology, including customized menu options and will break the industry mold by creating inclusive pricing for room and basic meeting features. Each space will feature the largest LED screens available, attractively hidden by wooden cabinetry; separation walls that allow for the ultimate privacy and security, or for free flowing foot traffic between different spaces, whichever is preferred for a specific event; and high-end design elements, including fabric paneled walls, wooden slatted ceilings and pin lighting, which allows for focused interior lighting instead of traditional fluorescent light panels, and the maximum use of natural day-light when possible.

The Langham, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai

The Langham, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai is scheduled to open by end 2015. The 323-room resort is located at a prime waterfront location directly facing the Arabian Gulf and the impressive Dubai Marina skyline, all the rooms and suites will have expansive outdoor terraces and sea-front views that will take full advantage of the emirate's year-round sunny climate.
