An event tailored just for kids will for the second time be held in the City of Sydney. The Children’s Festival is a family fun day with non-stop performances, over 20 activities and games, workshops, animal farm, jumping castle, and display stalls. It features a children's parade, a national costume display, and a poster competition themed "I am a proud Australian".
The festival will be held on Sunday, 15 March 2015 at First Fleet Park, The Rocks, Sydney. Go to childrensfestival.com.au for more details.
The Children’s Festival is the largest and most unique celebrations of multiculturalism for children and families in Australia.
It is a day of sharing, learning and exploring the culturally diverse modern cities that we all live in and share with one another.
If children are able to experience this sharing and understanding from a young age, the Children’s Festival hopes that adults too, will be able to share and understand, so that we can all live harmoniously within our in communities.
This years Children’s Festival 2015 will be held on Sunday 15 March 2015 at First Fleet Park, The Rocks (close to Circular Quay Railway Station), Sydney. So we would now like to invite your group/s to be a part of the Children’s Parade at 1pm and/or to perform on the day, and make it a spectacle of colour and diversity in that special way of our Children’s Festivals “Playing Together and Living in Harmony“. Please refer to the “Expression of Interest – Parade and Performance” for further details.
Get ready for a day of celebration where you will experience different cultural traditions, costumes, dances, performances, songs, lion dancing, drumming workshops and share traditional and delicious foods with one another.
Join us for some fun and games, take part in the Children’s Parade, witness the dancing and musical performances on stage or have a go at drumming, kite flying or take part in the poster competition.
There will be endless exciting activities for the kids including scout adventures, lantern making, costume parades, arts and craft, rides, animal petting zoo and more.
