Introducing Moments of Triumph

Strange things happen when you get away and walk for a few days in Australia’s breathtaking natural landscapes.

You start to take in your surrounds, rediscover yourself as you go deeper into the countryside and increasingly “off-grid”, and celebrate your personal achievements and those special to you.

In short, you Walk, Explore and Renew.

The Bay of Fires Lodge Walk, Cradle Mountain Huts Walk and the Twelve Apostles Walk see these phenomena all the time.

We call them Moments of Triumph and they come in all shapes and sizes.

A little pat on the back for getting up a steep hill, an inner “well done!” as you pause and look back on the trail, or a deserving “yes please” to the afternoon tea that’s waiting on arrival at the lodge.

And at a deeper level, celebrating a recovery from illness. A promotion. A special birthday or anniversary.

Any life-changing event.

The Bay of Fires Lodge Walk, Cradle Mountain Huts Walk (operated by the Tasmanian Walking Company) and the Twelve Apostles Walk (operated by bothfeet) are three eco-luxe walking experiences that take you on a such a journey.

Special project: expats’ competition

Aimed at recent (or not-so-recent) expats with loved ones still living overseas, and at Australians who have recently moved abroad who still have loved ones living here.

Moments of Triumph will fly someone living overseas to join an Australian resident on either our Bay of Fires walk in Tasmania or our 12 Apostles Walk in Victoria.

All entrants have to do is nominate and tag the person they would like to accompany them, in Facebook, tagging the post #momentoftriumphcompetition and including the overseas city that the overseas special person will be flown from. Judges will determine the most deserving and creative entry.
