Walcha Open Air Galery of Sculptures

Susie Crawford, Tourism Manager at the Walcha Visitor Information Centre has posted this update from Walcha.

“Stephen King, one of our local artists has recently taken out the top prize at the 2013 Sculptures by the Sea exhibition at Bondi Beach in Sydney. Stephen has been selected to exhibit in 15 of the 17 Sculptures by the Sea exhibitions, which in itself is a huge achievement,” Susie said.

“He has also won prizes in some of those years. Stephen has contributed several of his works to Walcha’s infamous Open Air Gallery of Sculptures and Artworks which is a permanent exhibition of local, national and international artists’ works throughout the town of Walcha and along the levee banks of the Apsley River. Well worth a visit to Walcha for this unique experience.”

“In other news, we have just had a new Café/Restaurant open up in Walcha and it’s a great eating spot for both locals and visitors. Called Microns Restaurant and Café, it is located in Fenwicke House in Fitzroy Street,” Susie said.

“With great food and service, it’s the perfect place for taking a break. There are also private dining rooms available.”

For bookings at Microns Restaurant and café, please call 02-6778 0067 or 0439 021 361.
