Southeast Asia Museum Opens for Tourists

The public now has the opportunity to enjoy dances performed by people from Laos, Cambodia and Indonesia, and to try dishes from throughout Southeast Asia.

The Southeast Asia Museum in the framework of the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology open on 1 December to welcome tourists. There will be games and free activities for tourists.

According to leaders from the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, so far, preparations for a regular exhibition on Southeast Asian cultures have completed. Visitors will be able to understand more about people in neighbouring countries, discovering similarities as well as differences in culture between Vietnam and other countries in the region. Visitors can enjoy activities to discover Southeast Asian countries through folk games, national flags, currency, greetings and cultural heritage.

The museum plans to develop other products and activities to gradually introduce culture and life of people in the region.
