Katrina George, Coordinator Armidale Visitor Information Centre has announced several holiday attractions for families in the Armidale region.
“We have two businesses that are running Farm Tour experiences for families, which would be a great experience during the school holidays,” Ms George said.
Wayward Jerseys Farm Day tours run from 9.00am – 12.00noon. Visitors can feed poddy piglets and calves as well as goats, horses and sheep. Visitors will have a farm walk and tour as well as the opportunity to feed hay to paddock cows. At the completion of the tour visitors will have an opportunity to purchase a picnic hamper or BBQ pack and enjoy a picnic lunch on the property. At Sunhill Dairy Goats, families can meet goats, chickens, ducks and alpaca and see why the country lifestyle is something to talk about. “In the New England region, we are also coming into the berry picking season,” Ms George said.
“Daisy Farm Berries offers a pick-your-own blackberry experience all within 3kms of the town of Armidale. Picking season is December to February each year.”
