New E-pass For Visitors Driving In Sydney

Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer, Sandra Chipchase, has welcomed the Roads and Maritime Services’ move to introduce a simplified tollways payment scheme for visitors to Sydney.

The new “eMU” electronic pass is now available from more than 300 outlets across Sydney and NSW. Visitors to Sydney can now buy a 30-day e-toll pass for that is linked to the driver’s credit or debit card.

“The eMU pass is ideal for people in Sydney for business or on a holiday because it’s inexpensive, convenient and valid for a month on all eight of Sydney’s toll roads,” Ms Chipchase said.It is envisaged that the new pass will help to reduce the number of fines sent to hire car companies which are then redirected to customers with a processing fee of between $35-60.

The eMU Pass is now available at a wide range of petrol stations across NSW, including BP, Caltex, Shell, United and Mobil outlets.

For more information or a full list of the locations of where the passes can be purchased, visit the Roads and Maritime Services website.
