airberlin and Etihad Airways – an Exciting New Partnership


airberlin and Etihad Airways have started a strategic partnership. They now offer a combined network of 239 destinations across 77 countries, opening up a whole new world of choice for traveling to the Middle East, Africa and Australasia via Abu Dhabi.

From 15th January 2012 airberlin will commence flights from nonstop Berlin to Abu Dhabi, four days a week with an Airbus 330-200. To celebrate the launch of this new route attractive introductory rates are beiong offered, with return flights starting from 199 € in Economy Class and from 999 € in Business Class.

From the 15th of January they will also be introducing a cooperation between both frequent flyer programs, topbonus and Etihad Guest, with the following benefits:
  • Collect and redeem topbonus award miles on all flights with Etihad Airways
  • Collect topbonus status miles on all flights with Etihad Airways
  • Priority check-in for top tier members
  • Excess baggage allowance for top tier members
