Exhibition: Alberto Giacometti. Retrospective

The Picasso Museum in Malaga is organising an exhibition on the different stages of the career of one of the most important artists in the last century. Giacometti's work is essential to understand the development of avant-garde trends and contemporary art.

It is the first retrospective exhibition on this artist that is taking place in Spain for over 20 years. It will take place in the Buenavista Palace and will display nearly 160 works of art and 20 photographs by other authors who document the Swiss artist's work. A perfect way of getting know more about this artist, who was a painter, sculptor, illustrator, engraver, creator of decorative objects, and writer. With some exceptions, all the works of art come from collections belonging to the Alberto y Annette Giacometti Foundation, created by the artist's widow.

Dates: On now until Feb 15, 2012. Open Tuesday to Thursday from 10am to 8pm, from Friday to Saturday from 10am to 9pm. Public holidays and Sundays from 10am to 8pm
Location: Museo Picasso Málaga, Calle San Agustín 8, 29015 Málaga (Malaga)
