Blue Jasmine Luxury Rail Journey: Thailand’s New Nine-Day Heritage Adventure

Blue Jasmine Luxury Rail Journey
A Sneak Peek at Thailand’s Premier Vintage Train Experience

In July 2025, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted an exclusive familiarisation trip for its overseas marketing teams, offering a first look at the highly anticipated Blue Jasmine Luxury Rail Journey. Scheduled for its maiden voyage in November 2025, this nine-day vintage train itinerary connects five provinces, showcasing Thailand’s rich history and culture in elegant style.

Journey Through Historic World Heritage Cities

The Blue Jasmine Rail Journey begins at Bangkok’s iconic Hua Lamphong Station aboard a beautifully restored 1956 Japanese sleeper train. The route includes stops at three UNESCO World Heritage cities: Ayutthaya, Uthai Thani, and Si Satchanalai in Sukhothai. Along the way, guests experience curated cultural activities such as almsgiving ceremonies by the Sakae Krang River, visits to Wat Chantharam’s Crystal Sanctuary, and traditional dance performances by the Yom River.

Authentic Experiences and Local Craftsmanship

Participants on the preview trip enjoyed hands-on workshops in Sangkhalok ceramic making and Thai silk weaving, highlighting Thailand’s vibrant living heritage. The train itself features private cabins, panoramic lounges, and menus inspired by local cuisine, blending luxury travel with authentic Thai culture.

Supporting Thailand’s New Tourism Vision

Led by TAT Deputy Governor Mrs. Chiravadee Khunsub, the familiarisation trip aligns with The New Thailand strategy that prioritises quality tourism and emotional connection. This immersive journey allows international marketing teams to better promote the experience to long-haul markets, creating new narratives that highlight Thailand’s timeless appeal.

Upcoming Voyages and Future Plans

The inaugural Blue Jasmine Luxury Rail Journey is set to depart from 16 to 24 November 2025. Additional departures will run throughout 2026, including January, February, March, July, November, and December. This new rail experience promises to become a flagship offering for travellers seeking immersive, heritage-rich adventures in Thailand.
