Pyrmont Festival

Prepare your palates for an extraordinary journey of flavours, as the Pyrmont Festival makes its grand return to Sydney this May 2024, celebrating its 12th year with an even grander array of delectable food, exquisite wine, beer and gin tastings, and vibrant live entertainment. Over two family-friendly days on 18-19 May, experience the pinnacle of NSW's rich culinary heritage set against the picturesque Sydney Harbour at Pirrama Park.

Alex Gibbs, Pyrmont Festival Director, said, “This year we have welcomed winemakers, brewers and distillers from across NSW. This includes producers from Orange, Mudgee, Murrumbateman and the Hunter Valley. Local businesses will also be featured across the festival including an Aburi and Oyster Bar in Pirrama Park. This is an event that’s family and first date friendly. Everyone is welcome”.

“Anticipate a sensory explosion with over 20 wineries, breweries and distilleries, alongside gourmet food trucks and stands offering a smorgasbord of cuisines,” he said.

Festival-goers can look forward to a line-up that includes Elbourne Wines, Tulloch Wines, Hungerford Hill, Glandore Wines, Horner Wines, Weerona Wines, See Saw Wine, Petersons Wines, Savannah Estate, Ben Ean Winery, Two Rivers Wines, Gilbert, De Beaurepaire Wines, Canobolas Wines, Rowlee Wines, Highland Heritage, Swinging Bridge, Ross Hill Wines and the first ever Canberra District winery to participate in the festival, McKellar Ridge Wines.

For gin, vodka and liqueur loving attendees there’s plenty to choose from. The Unexpected Guest Distillery will rock up in their 1972 Kombi, and will be joined by fellow distillers, Finders Distillery and Scylla Distilling Co. Also, enjoy local craft beer styles by White Bay Beer Co.

Culinary delights include delectable & dynamic Asian street food inspired by Asia’s vibrant street food scene at The Star’s Fat Noodle stand, the creation of chef and culinary adventurer Luke Nguyen where traditional family recipes are reinterpreted through fresh Australian produce.

There will be a multitude of food providers across a vast variety of cuisines including Cheeky Naked Oysters, German food truck- Knuckles 2 You and the mouth-watering fusion of African fast food at its finest with the Pharaoh BBQ food truck.

Adding to the festivities, local artist exhibitions and art classes, face painting, large outdoor games, and a jumping castle activation will ensure that the Pyrmont Festival is a delightful experience for all ages across the two days on 18-19 May 2024.
