LET'S WALK THROUGH THE ENCHANTING BAMBOO GROVE!

 Former Kurayoshi Line
The Kurayoshi Line, which once connected Kurayoshi Station to Yamamori Station in Sekigane over approximately 20 kilometers, was discontinued about 70 years ago due to changing times, bringing an end to its history.

Even now, remnants such as rails and platform remains can be found around Sekigane, as well as in various locations throughout Kurayoshi City.

From the site of Taikyuji Station in Sekigane to near the entrance of Yamamori Tunnel, there are remains of the abandoned line amid bamboo groves, creating a fantastical landscape.

While visitors are free to explore the abandoned Kurayoshi Line, entry into the Yamamori Tunnel is prohibited.

If you wish to explore the tunnel, please apply for the Kurayoshi Line Abandoned Line Tour with a group (15 people or more).
