Condor Ferries launches pet-friendly cabins
Pet owners looking for a break with their four-legged friends this autumn/winter will shortly be able to take advantage of pet friendly cabins aboard Condor Ferries’ new Islander ferry.
Owners with pets travelling to Jersey aboard the CommodoreClipper service now have an option of six pet friendly cabins to accommodate up to three people and one pet. An outside deck is also accessible for exercising.
The service has sailings from Poole and Portsmouth with both daytime and overnight crossings available. www.condorferries.co.uk
National Trust for Jersey opens Morel Farm
Morel Farm, an historic farm complex in the rural parish of St Lawrence has launched as self-catering holiday accommodation following a £2.7 million renovation project.
Owned by The National Trust for Jersey, the 17th century Farm site offers a four bedroom flat (formerly the main farmhouse) and two, one bedroom flats (formerly the bakehouse and chapel.
Furniture comprises a range of appropriate locally-sourced antiques, period items collected by the Trust alongside modern and recycled pieces from Island suppliers.
Petchi
Jersey chef, Joe Baker, has opened Pêtchi restaurant in the island’s capital, St. Helier.
The restaurant’s name means ‘to try to catch a fish’ in the traditional dialect, Jèrriais, and the island’s seafood and shellfish.
Maison des Landes
Maison des Landes, the only Jersey hotel designed for people with disabilities, has reopened following a £3.8 million refurbishment.
The hotel has 23 specially equipped rooms, a 48-seater restaurant, a licensed bar and a new meeting space.
The hotel is located on the edge of Jersey National Park at Les Landes.
Jersey launches biggest skatepark
