Van Phuc Silk Village or Ha Dong Silk Village (now in Van Phuc ward, Ha Dong district, about 10 km from Ha Noi center) is a famous silk weaving village that dates back thousands of years. Van Phuc silks have many patterns, and were once chosen to make costumes for the royal court.

Located on the banks of the Nhue River, Van Phuc silk village still retains some of its ancient countryside features such as the image of an ancient banyan tree, a well, a communal house yard. In the afternoon, there is still a market held under the banyan tree in front of the communal house. "Ha Dong silk" as well as traditional handicraft products of Ha Noi craft villages, are often mentioned in ancient poetry. In many families, ancient looms are still retained, mixed with modern mechanical looms.
