The group was started in 1902, when Vittorio Fasano, an Italian immigrant originally from Milan and the family patriarch, arrived in Brazil and opened a brasserie in São Paulo.
It now has a portfolio of nine hotels and 26 restaurants. Salvador Salvador, the capital of Brazil’s northeastern state of Bahia, is known for its Portuguese colonial architecture, Afro-Brazilian culture and a tropical coastline.
