In addition, the province has invested in upgrading its infrastructure, particularly roads to key tourism sites, in an effort to contribute to a successful National Tourism Year.
It has focused on developing local accommodation places to add to its current 672 facilities offering 14,000 rooms, including calling for investment in three-star hotels and above and resorts.
The locality expects to have the capacity of 16,000 rooms by the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year, which is scheduled for March, to serve an estimated 5.5 million tourist arrivals.
