The acclaimed Hunan Folk Orchestra from China will make their debut tour to Australia performing the Chinese New Year’s Concert at City Recital Hall on Friday 20 February at 7.30pm as part of the CNY15 Festival by City of Sydney.
The Chinese New Year’s Concert will bring authentic Chinese music to Sydney for one night only. This concert will feature a selection of repertoires of well-known Chinese music by a group of accomplished musicians.
Hunan Orchestra of Chinese Music is the only orchestra known for integrating Chinese and Western music elements in Hunan Province and has acted as an envoy of cultural interactions and cooperation for Hunan over the past decade. Having toured dozens of countries in Europe, Asia and Africa, the orchestra will present this concert specifically for the Lunar Chinese New Year in Sydney.
