A six-month-old koala baby has just made its first appearance out of her mum's pouch just in time for the forthcoming NSW school holidays.
The baby, whose mother is Kambala, does not yet have a name.
We are running a competition to name the baby throughout the holidays. All entries will go into the draw and one lucky winner will receive a 10 minute “speed date” with mother and baby.
The Koala population has been devastated over the last hundred years and is currently under great threat due to urbanisation and massive, uncontrolled habitat destruction. The birth of any Koala is significant to the ongoing efforts to protect the breed for future generations.
Come along to Walkabout Park these school holidays and meet our baby.
