Tallulah was visiting the Blue Mountains for the first time with her family, who were staying for three nights, and also planned to visit Janolan Caves. She was rewarded for being the one millionth passenger with an annual pass to Scenic World.
The milestone came just over a year after the launch of the redeveloped attraction in April 2013, which saw the fifth train commissioned to travel the iconic incline railway, which enables passengers to enjoy expansive views of the World Heritage-listed Jamison Valley as they descend from escarpment into ancient rainforest.
Anthea Hammon, Joint Managing Director of Scenic World, said, “Almost 70 years ago our grandfather opened Scenic World, inspired by the curiosity of visitors to the Blue Mountains and the steep railway into the rainforest. This celebration is about the new era of the Scenic Railway which continues to delight visitors from across Australia and overseas.”
