Campaign To Attract More German Travellers

Destination NSW launched a “Best of Australia” campaign on 21 November in partnership with Tourism Queensland, Emirates and one of the largest German wholesalers Dertour. The $213,000 campaign will run through to mid-January.

The campaign features:

- advertising on infoscreens in the main train stations of Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Cologne, Dusseldorf and Hamburg;
- a 32 page supplement with travel trade publication Travel One (circulation 45,000);
- banner advertising driving traffic to dedicated campaign site www.dertour.de/downunder;
- and print advertising with consumer magazines including Reise and Preise and Australien Magazine.

The “Best of Australia” campaign is the latest to be rolled out as part of Destination NSW’s agreement with Tourism Queensland to promote the east coast of Australia
