Vietnam’s aviation landscape reaches a new milestone with the inauguration of the expanded Terminal T2 at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi. The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) officially opened the Terminal T2 expansion on December 19, 2025, a project completed in just over 18 months with an investment of nearly 200 million USD. The expansion increases the terminal’s floor area to more than 200,000 square meters, boosting passenger capacity from 10 million to 15 million annually, with potential to accommodate up to 18 million travelers per year.

Operational efficiency has been significantly enhanced, with boarding gates increasing from 17 to 30 and jet bridges rising from 14 to 27. The expansion ensures that Noi Bai International Airport can comfortably handle surging international travel, particularly ahead of peak seasons such as the Lunar New Year.
