Thredbo Resort appointed Official Ski Resort of Paralympics Australia, strengthening its long-standing commitment to adaptive snowsports and accessibility.
- The appointment builds on Thredbo’s legacy with Disabled Wintersport Australia and support of ambassadors Michael Milton and Ben Tudhope, reinforcing pathways from grassroots to elite performance.
- Collaboration will deliver on-mountain activations and athlete engagement while backing Paralympics Australia’s mission to grow participation, performance and social impact ahead of the Winter Paralympic Games.
Thredbo Resort has today announced its appointment as the Official Ski Resort of Paralympics Australia (PA), marking an exciting new chapter in its commitment to Australian winter sport.
Following the remarkable success of the Australian Olympic Team at the 2026 Winter Games in Milano Cortina, Thredbo is proud to extend its support to the nation’s Paralympic athletes, reinforcing its dedication to fostering excellence on snow at every level.
“This is an incredibly exciting partnership for Paralympics Australia,” said Cameron Murray, Chief Executive Officer of Paralympics Australia “We’re proud to formalise this new relationship with Thredbo Resort, which solidifies our shared ambition to see Para athletes thrive at all levels of winter sport.
“Thredbo has a long and proud connection with our Para sport community, and we’re ready to carry that momentum into this Paralympic Winter Games campaign and beyond.
“Thredbo’s leadership in adaptive snowsports and dedication to accessibility makes this partnership both natural and significant and will play an important role in driving the next chapter of Australia’s Winter Paralympic success.

This partnership with Paralympics Australia represents a natural and powerful progression of that commitment - strengthening pathways, performance and participation for athletes of all abilities.
Thredbo is proud to support Paralympics Australia and the entire Australian Paralympic Team, including two of their own Thredbo ambassadors whose stories define resilience and excellence: Michael Milton and Ben Tudhope.
A three-time cancer survivor, and Australia’s most successful Winter Paralympian, with six gold, three silver and two bronze medals, Michael’s legacy is unmatched. Ben, a three-time Paralympian, bronze medallist and 2003 World Champion, made history as Australia’s youngest Paralympian at just 14.
Ben said the partnership reflects the resort’s commitment to improving accessibility and opportunity in Australian winter sport.
“Thredbo has played an important role in my journey, and it’s encouraging to see the resort continuing to strengthen its commitment to para sport,” Tudhope said. “Partnerships like this are an important step in improving opportunity within Australian winter sport - they’re creating space for the next generation of Australians with disability to discover what’s possible on snow.”
With Team Australia celebrating its most successful Winter Olympic campaign at Milano Cortina, Thredbo Resort is proud to carry that momentum into the Paralympic Games - continuing to champion high performance on snow while inspiring the next generation of Australian winter athletes to dream bigger and go further.
As part of the collaboration, Thredbo will host on-mountain activations and athlete engagements, connecting guests with Paralympics Australia and helping to power the next chapter of Australia’s Paralympic winter success.
