“Happy Independence Day” at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism

From 1st to 4th September 2023, Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Dong Mo, Son Tay Town, Ha Noi) will organize many interesting activities during the National Day holiday (2nd September).

The event will have the participation of more than 200 artisans, people and artists, including more than 100 people of 15 ethnic groups who are working daily in the village.

They are village elders, village chiefs, artisans, ethnic minorities of Nung, Tay (Thai Nguyen Province); Dao (Ha Noi); Mong (Ha Giang); Muong (Hoa Binh); Thai, Kho Mu (Son La); Ta Oi, Co Tu (Thua Thien Hue); Ba Na, Gia Rai (Gia Lai); Xo Dang (Kon Tum); Raglai (Ninh Thuan); Ede (Dak Lak) and Khmer (Soc Trang).

The highlight of September is the “Highland Market - Happy Independence Day” introducing the real cultural space of the highland market with cultural colors in the provinces of Cao Bang, Lang Son and Son La.

Activities include: Introduction and demonstration of Phuc Sen forging craft from Cao Bang province; Introduction of lion dance art of the Nung ethnic group; Folk song and dance program "Happy Independence Day"; Re-enactment of the wedding ceremony of the Nung ethnic group; Re-enactment of the procession of ghosts to keep the fire of the Mong ethnic group…

The September event will bring useful and meaningful experiences for visitors and ethnic communities to join in the atmosphere of "Happy Independence Day" at Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
