Papua New Guinea’s green commitment

Papua New Guinea has signed agreements with the European Union on forest, climate change and biodiversity. During his State Visit to Papua New Guinea, President of France H.E. Emmanuel Macron and H.E. James Marape, Prime Minister of PNG, signed two agreements between the European Union, the European Investment Bank and other partners. 

These will provide support to PNG for the implementation of a Forest, Climate Change and Biodiversity Programme and Green Investments under the Global Gateway Strategy. www.internationalpartnerships.ec.europa.eu/policies/globalgateway_en 

Papua New Guinea, in the southwestern Pacific, is the world's thirdlargest island country, taking in the eastern half of the island of New Guinea and its offshore islands in Melanesia.
