"Bindon" is a milk bottle packed with a variety of fresh seafood

Miyako is a city that faces the North Pacific Ocean on the coastal area of Iwate Prefecture.

As a port city, you will find plenty of dishes made using fresh seafood caught straight from the ocean!

One of the specialities of Miyako City is "Bindon", a milk bottle packed with a variety of fresh seafood like sea urchin, scallops, oysters, and even abalone!

All you have to do is pour it over a hot bowl of rice, and there you have it - a full meal of delicious Iwate seafood!

This one-of-a-kind cuisine was inspired by a product popular in the coastal Iwate area: raw sea urchin packed into a milk bottle.

Now, Bindon is one of the most popular cuisines among both locals and visitors because of its freshness and aesthetic!
