The 36ft Sunny Day narrowboat accommodates up to ten people and is the second electric boat to join the ABC Boat Hire and Drifters fleet.
The boat uses an ‘Onboard Energy Direct off-grid energy range’, including lithium batteries and a Beta Marine 10Kw motor engine.
On a day afloat from Springwood Haven, boaters can cruise through the Warwickshire countryside to Marston Junction and back, or head the other way along the Coventry Canal to Atherstone.
Sunny Day joins Perfect Day based at Kings Orchard Marina, as the second of nine new electric day boats to be added to ABC Boat Hire’s fleet in England and Wales over the next 18 months.
ABC Boat Hire is a member of Drifters Waterway Holidays, nine independent canal boat holiday operators that offer access to over 550 narrowboats for hire from 45 bases across England, Wales and Scotland.
