Relax on Amelia Island, Florida

Amelia Island, located just off the coast of Florida, has launched two mobile ‘passport’ programs for visitors to the barrier island. 

They highlight nearly 40 of the island’s award-winning restaurants and art galleries, creative artisans and studios and public art installations. 

The Amelia Island Shrimp Challenge guides participants to 13 local restaurants serving the many tasty shrimp dishes available. 

The Amelia Island Art Passport takes in some 30 of the island’s artistic offerings.

Amelia Island is 13 miles long and two miles wide and a 30-minute drive from Jacksonville and Fernandina Beach, once a vibrant Victorian seaport village, and now a downtown dining and entertainment district.
