Outdoor adventures in New South Wales, Australia

Scenic World
New South Wales offers wildly diverse landscapes, dramatic scenery and a long stretch of coastline that all suit outdoor activities.

The Blue Mountains

Scenic World’s 270-metre-high cable way goes across the Jamison Valley in the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park.

Beyond Skyway is the world's first rooftop cable car with guests able to climb onto the rooftop of its cableway for refreshments and uninterrupted views of eucalyptus forests, mountains and beyond.

Other activities at Scenic World include taking a ride on the world's steepest train and exploring the ecosystems on the rainforest boardwalks.

The Hunter Valley

Hunter Valley Ballooning is located in the vineyards of The Hunter Valley, Australia's oldest wine region.

It has been taking adventurers on hot air balloon expeditions for more than 30 years on a flight over rolling vineyards, farmlands and mountains.

Whale watching at Jervis Bay

Jervis Bay
From May to November each year, over 40,000 whales make their way along the 2000 km stretch of New South Wales coastline.

With lookout points dotted along the coast, it’s the chance to spot the humpback and southern right whales, with Jervis Bay on the South Coast of New South Wales the state's premier whale watching spot.

Meroo Head Lookout is the place to see the whales breaching and playing with their newborns on an epic boat tour with Jervis Bay Wild.
