Within the framework of Hue Lantern Festival 2023, the space to display and exhibit lantern exchanges between Vietnam - Hue and China will be organized, including space for displaying and arranging Hue traditional lanterns; Spaces for displaying and arranging lanterns made by artist Trinh Bach, Chinese artisans, Bao La Bamboo and Rattan, Truc Chi Hue facility, artist Nguyen Van Du's CAN Studio; Space of Vietnam's Traditional Mid-Autumn Festival will displaying traditional mid-autumn festival trays, animal-shaped lanterns for children, and hundreds of models of tò he and animals.
Hue Imperial Citadel will be free open from 7:30 p.m to 10:00 p.m in 5 days of Hue Lantern Festival 2023. The royal palaces seem to become brighter and more sparkling than usual in the bright red, soft yellow colors... radiating from lanterns from all the streets in the Citadel.
The opening ceremony of Hue Lantern Festival 2023 and the Royal Palace Full Moon Night will take place at 4:00 p.m. on 25th September 2023 (11th day of 8th month of the lunar calendar).
The Royal Palace Full Moon Night and closing ceremony will take place on the evening of 29th September (15th day of 8th month of the lunar calendar).
Besides, within the framework of Hue Lantern Festival 2023, royal games will be hold such as Dau Ho, Bai Vu, Xam Huong combined with calligraphy on the nights of 25th, 27th, 29th September in the area behind the Guard gate (Tuan Binh Ve Mon); Organizing concerts of traditional musical instruments and Hue songs on the nights of 26th, 28th September at the stage behind the Internal Affairs Palace; Organizing space of Hue cuisine at the stage behind the Internal Affairs Palace.
Visitor attend these two events will enter Hoa Binh and Hien Nhon gates.
Hue Lantern Festival 2023 and the Royal Palace Full Moon Night will be first step to build nightlife experience activities at Hue Imperial Citadel.
