Why not get a taste of nature in Mie Prefecture?

The G7 Transport Ministers' Meeting was held in Ise-Shima, Mie Prefecture, from June 16 to 18.

To celebrate the occasion, why not explore these great sightseeing locations and one of the top hydrangea viewing spots in Mie?

The Ise-Jingu, a Mie's famous attraction, is said to have been founded more than 2,000 years ago.

Another highlight of this beautiful prefecture is Ago Bay, famous for its rias coastline. The stunning view of the many different islands dotted throughout the bay is a must-see.

Lastly, one of the best places to see hydrangeas in this season is no doubt Kazahaya-no-Sato. This majestic garden is located on the banks of Kazahaya Pond, a 3.8 km-long (2.4 mile-long) pond in Tsu City. Since 2004, volunteers and the staff of facilities for people with disabilities have been working together to maintain the picturesque grounds.
