In the past time, when the community tourism village of Kon Ko Tu was established, the number of visitors increased, and the income of the people also increased. Thanks to this revenue, people have the conditions to buy equipment for the homestay business.”

Recently, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee also issued plan No. 6195/KH-UBND dated 18/07/2023 to promote rural tourism associated with new rural construction. By 2025, Lam Dong will develop and standardize rural tourism destinations and products. To build and develop from 1-2 recognized rural tourist spots associated with advantages in agriculture, culture, craft villages and ecological environment by 2025. 50% of rural tourism service business establishments are recognized as meeting tourist service standards. Promote rural tourism development in association with digital transformation, strive for 100% of rural tourist spots to be introduced and promoted. Half of the rural tourist attractions apply electronic transactions in tourism activities.
In addition, the owners of establishments, those serving the type of rural tourism are trained over 70%. These are specific goals that will bring a new vitality to the Central Highlands countryside through tourism.
Thanks to positive changes, tourism in the provinces has shown signs of increasing. Lam Dong said that since the beginning of the year, the locality has welcomed more than 4.5 million visitors to visit and relax, reaching over 53 percent of the plan and increasing by more than 21 percent over the same period in 2022. Thanks to the development of homestay accommodation in ethnic minority villages, it has brought a new attraction to tourism in Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak). In the first 6 months of the year, the total number of visitors to the city was about 520,000. In which, about 3,560 international visitors, more than 516,440 domestic tourists, total estimated revenue of 412 billion VND.
